Lakes in the
Swiss Alps

Variant 1:
You reach the lake from the Parking Lioson d’en Bas in ca: 30 min - take the steep uphill path on the left side of the parking lot to Lac Lioson. You won't miss it.

Way back:
Downhill to the Parking Lioson d’en Bas ca: 25 min or take a longer route , passing by Buvette des Petits Lacs ca: 2 h

Variant 2:

You can also choose a more diverse and attractive path by taking a longer route on the right side of the parking lot.

Follow the signs towards Pic Chaussy. From the Buvette des Petits Lacs follow Lac Lioson signs.
This route will take you through some of the beautiful alpine meadows in the area ( ca: 2 h) 

Way back:
Go downhill to the Parking Lioson d’en Bas ca: 25 min.

Your walk begins at Parking Lioson d’en Bas. You can get there :

By car: having arrived to the Les Mosses (from the north), after passing the Hotel le Relais Alpin turn left to the Les Fontanes road.Then after 300 m turn left on the Les Cartiers and after ca 100 m turn right to the Les Mosses road
which will lead you to the Parking Lioson d’en Bas.

By bus: the bus stops at Village. Follow then the signs to the Lac Liosson /Pic Chaussy.

The Pic Chaussy cable car is not available.
It was dismantled for many years ago (cable way is still visible on some maps)

There is a dwarf animal park at the Restaurant Lac Lioson - Fun for the Whole Family! (almost 70 animals)

This lake is located on the hiking trail to Pic Chaussy, so you can reach it if you hike to the summit.
