Lac de Passy

It is time for a leisure day at Lac de Passy. This "mountain beach" is a favorite because it requires no hike at all. You can drive your car directly to the lake and swim in a crystal-clear lake with stunning views where the water is surprisingly warm, reaching up to 25°C in summer.

The majestic peaks of the Mont Blanc and Aravis massifs tower above the water, offering a great panoramic view. It is a fantastic place to relax and have fun for the whole family.
There are plenty of activities to choose from, including boat rentals for kids, mini-golf, tree climbing, a fitness trail, and BBQ areas. Located in the commune of Passy—just 25 minutes from Chamonix by car or public transport—it is the perfect spot to enjoy the beauty of the French Alps without the effort of a climb.

If you prefer a sandy beach with many activities and BBQ, so you should park your car on the north side of the lake Parking 03 Lac de Passy Toilets available at the lake. Dogs are not allowed at the beach.

That place was chosen for a leisure day, but you can also take a short “hike” around the lake (2 km)
